Urology Faculty Recruitment
The Department of Urology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - Shreveport is seeking two BC/BE Urologists to expand its full-time clinical faculty. Each faculty position will include patient care, resident and medical student education, and clinical and/or basic science research opportunities. Candidates should be committed to academic medicine and have a broad experience in all aspects of Urology. Additional training and/or experience in the areas of Endo-Laparoscopy/ Robotics and Male Health are desirable, but not requirements. Academic rank and base salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and will include academic appointment at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport and participation in the LSUHSC-S Physicians’ Practice Plan. The successful applicant will join several full-time faculty members in a fully accredited Urology Residency Training Program (two residents per level). This position includes clinical duties and responsibilities at our tertiary University Medical Center and at our affiliated teaching institutions: Willis-Knighton Health System and Overton Brooks VAMC. Three da Vinci surgical systems (including a dual-console unit) are available for patient care and resident training.
